Frequently Asked Questions

We primarily do not offer international shipping as our standard practice is to ship within South Africa. However, if you are looking to purchase our products from abroad, please contact hello@lockandstone.co.za, and we will make an effort to assist you to the best of our abilities.

 

Delivery is free on all orders within South Africa! 

Yes, you can track your order. Once your order has been shipped, we will send you a link via email that you can use to track the status and location of your package.

Our returns policy allows for returns and exchanges within 14 days of delivery. You can initiate a return or exchange if the product is incorrect, damaged, defective, or not as described. When returning the product, ensure it is undamaged, unused, in its original packaging, and packaged correctly. A courier company will collect the return, and once the product is inspected, we will credit your account or provide a replacement based on your preference.

 

Returns and/or exchanges must be initiated within fourteen days of delivery.

  1. To initiate a return and/or exchange, send an email to hello@lockandstone.co.za, providing:
    1. Reason for the return.
    2. Preference for account credit or replacement.
  2. The product must be undamaged, unused, in its original packaging, and correctly and safely packaged by you.
  3. The return will be collected by a courier company, and you will receive an email with a waybill to attach to the package.
  4. Once the product is returned and inspected, your account will be credited or replaced based on your preference.

Delivery & Returns Policies

This Delivery Policy ("Delivery Policy") is only valid for products purchased from Lock & Stone. 
This Delivery Policy has been developed to ensure the accurate and secure delivery of all purchases according to the customer's delivery needs. 
This Delivery Policy forms part of the agreement between Lock & Stone and its customers. This Delivery Policy should be read together with the website Terms and Conditions.

 

Delivery Procedure 
Once an order has been received and confirmed, no changes to the specified address and/or delivery option will be accepted, unless specifically acknowledged as being accepted by us.
After payment has been made, the customer will receive a tracking code, which they can use to track the delivery.
Orders will be delivered between 9:00 and 17:00 on weekdays.
It is the sole responsibility of the the customer to ensure that someone is available to receive the order once it has reached the delivery address.
If no one is present at the address when the delivery is attempted, the products will be retained and a new arrangement, which may incur an additional cost, may be made to deliver the order. 
The person receiving the order is required to sign a delivery note or submit a 3-digit pin as proof that the order has been delivered. 
Before signing the delivery note, the person receiving is required to check the contents of the order received against the delivery note to ensure that the products are not damaged or missing any products.
Once the person has signed and agreed that the order is correct, undamaged and in good condition, the customer will not have a claim for any incomplete/ missing orders. 

 

Delivery Areas 
We deliver within South Africa.
Customers are required to provide their physical address for delivery and contact details before completing their purchase. Products will be delivered to the physical address specified by the customer.

 

Delivery Fees
All deliveries are free of any standard fees.
There may be delivery surcharges for faster delivery times, or for delivery to outlying areas, or to chain stores, farms, hospitals, etc.
Any delivery fees are calculated on checkout, based on the information provided.

 

Delivery Methods
Orders will be delivered using a courier(s) of our choice.

 

Delivery Time Frame 
Without considering or being affected by external factors, local orders within South Africa will be delivered to the customer within 1-5 working days after the order and payment of that order has been received and confirmed.

 

Disclaimer 
We shall take all reasonable efforts to accurately reflect the products, purchase price and delivery charges of products on the website. However, should there be any errors of whatsoever nature on the website (which are not due to our fault), we shall not be liable to make good on a transaction based on any error, apart from refunding any monies paid by the customer to the us.
We will not be liable if delivery does not occur within the time frame mentioned in this Delivery Policy and cannot be liable for any loss occasioned by the delay in delivery. The risk transfers to the customer once the order is collected by the allocated courier. We cannot take any responsibility for any loss or damage to an order, or part of an order, once it has left our premises.
 

Circumstances in which Returns and/or Exchanges are allowed
We permit returns and/or exchanges in the following instances:

  • The incorrect product has been delivered to you.
  • The product delivered to you is damaged or defective.
  • The product is not as described.
  • You do not want the product which was delivered to you.

When a Return and/or Exchange needs to be initiated
Returns and/or exchanges need to be initiated within fourteen days of delivery of the product having been delivered to you.

 

The choices you have upon Returning the Product

  • When a product is returned to us you can:
  • Have your account credited.
  • Have the product replaced.

How a Return and/or Exchange is initiated
All returns and/or exchanges shall be initiated by sending an email to hello@lockandstone.co.za, you must please provide:

  • the reason for the return.
  • whether you would like the account credited or replaced.

Condition of the Product Returned
In returning the product to us, the following shall apply. The product needs to be:

  • Undamaged.
  • Unused.
  • In the original packaging.
  • Packaged and wrapped correctly and safely by you.

Manner of Return
The return will be collected by a courier company.
You will receive an email with a waybill that you must print and attach to the package
What will happen once a Product is returned
Once returned, and subject to a product inspection, your account with us will be credited or replaced, as per your preference.

Product Inspection
Once returned, and prior to accepting such return, we will be permitted to inspect the product.
Should the product in our reasonable discretion not be suited to be returned, we shall not be obliged to accept such return.
If we determine that the product was returned used, and not in a saleable condition, we will refuse to accept the return, and you will be liable for the cost of delivery back to your designated address
